Founded in 2019, Freedom City’s mission is to remove barriers and provide support for students and in Oklahoma City to reach their potential through education and exposure to extra-curriculars and career options. The organization’s primary objective is to provide equitable access to quality educational opportunities for students in need within the public school system of central Oklahoma. Freedom City's clients tend to be as much as three years behind in math and reading achievement, represent racial minorities, come from financially disadvantaged families, and have experienced trauma. Through six core programs: Reading Tutoring, Math Tutoring, After-School Program, Summer Program and Freedom Girls  focused engagement and support of their parents, and by promoting strong community bonds and partnerships with other nonprofits, Freedom City works to disrupt the cycle of generational poverty and create a stronger system of community support for children throughout the Oklahoma City metro area.
